Job

I have been reading through the book of Job lately, and have found it to be very encouraging. I highly recommend reading Job!!! If you think your life is bad,and are questioning God, then look what God has to say. I find it kinda funny how God is a little sarcastic toward Job :-)  Do y'all notice that?

Job 38

The Lord Speaks

38 Then the Lord spoke to Job out of the storm. He said:

2 “Who is this that obscures my plans
with words without knowledge?
3 Brace yourself like a man;
I will question you,
and you shall answer me.

4 Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation?
Tell me, if you understand.
5 Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know!
Who stretched a measuring line across it?
6 On what were its footings set,
or who laid its cornerstone
7 while the morning stars sang together
and all the angels[a] shouted for joy?

8 “Who shut up the sea behind doors
when it burst forth from the womb,
9 when I made the clouds its garment
and wrapped it in thick darkness,
10 when I fixed limits for it
and set its doors and bars in place,
11 when I said, ‘This far you may come and no farther;
here is where your proud waves halt’?

12 “Have you ever given orders to the morning,
or shown the dawn its place,
13 that it might take the earth by the edges
and shake the wicked out of it?
14 The earth takes shape like clay under a seal;
its features stand out like those of a garment.
15 The wicked are denied their light,
and their upraised arm is broken.

16 “Have you journeyed to the springs of the sea
or walked in the recesses of the deep?
17 Have the gates of death been shown to you?
Have you seen the gates of the deepest darkness?
18 Have you comprehended the vast expanses of the earth?
Tell me, if you know all this.

19 “What is the way to the abode of light?
And where does darkness reside?
20 Can you take them to their places?
Do you know the paths to their dwellings?
21 Surely you know, for you were already born!
You have lived so many years!

22 “Have you entered the storehouses of the snow
or seen the storehouses of the hail,
23 which I reserve for times of trouble,
for days of war and battle?
24 What is the way to the place where the lightning is dispersed,
or the place where the east winds are scattered over the earth?
25 Who cuts a channel for the torrents of rain,
and a path for the thunderstorm,
26 to water a land where no one lives,
an uninhabited desert,
27 to satisfy a desolate wasteland
and make it sprout with grass?
28 Does the rain have a father?
Who fathers the drops of dew?
29 From whose womb comes the ice?
Who gives birth to the frost from the heavens
30 when the waters become hard as stone,
when the surface of the deep is frozen?

31 “Can you bind the chains[b] of the Pleiades?
Can you loosen Orion’s belt?
32 Can you bring forth the constellations in their seasons[c]
or lead out the Bear[d] with its cubs?
33 Do you know the laws of the heavens?
Can you set up God’s[e] dominion over the earth?

34 “Can you raise your voice to the clouds
and cover yourself with a flood of water?
35 Do you send the lightning bolts on their way?
Do they report to you, ‘Here we are’?
36 Who gives the ibis wisdom[f]
or gives the rooster understanding?[g]
37 Who has the wisdom to count the clouds?
Who can tip over the water jars of the heavens
38 when the dust becomes hard
and the clods of earth stick together?

39 “Do you hunt the prey for the lioness
and satisfy the hunger of the lions
40 when they crouch in their dens
or lie in wait in a thicket?
41 Who provides food for the raven
when its young cry out to God
and wander about for lack of food?

Some Of The Things I Want In A Future Husband

A girl should get so lost in God, that a guy has to seek Him to find her.
-
John Piper's daughter Talitha

If God blesses me in the area of marrige these are a few thing I want in a husband...:-)

James 4:17

So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.

Some of the thing I  want in a future husband:

  •   Love God more than me.
  •    Love people and want to serve others.
  •   Love children and believe that they are a blessing.
  •   Have a good sense of humor.
  •   Love my family.
  •   Love and respect his parents.
  •   Be humble, kind and patient.
  •   Read Gods word and pray every day.
  •   Have a very close relationship with Christ.
  •   Have a open mind to go where ever God wants us to go.
  •   Loves to smile.
  •   God is the most important thing in his life.
  •   Have saved his heart for me.
  •   Believe in saving the first kiss for the wedding.
  •   Know how to apologize when wrong.

Kelsey

To My Mom:-)

May your mother be glad; may she who gave you birth rejoice! - Proverbs 23:25

Dear Mom,

I love you so much ,and I hope this is the most joyful and wonderful Mothers day for you!
Me and my Mom a few years back:-)

You have taught me so many things from serving to femininity,Godliness, and every thing in between. You are the most Godly woman I know.  I have so much fun  hanging out with you and chatting. You truly are my best friend for life. I am so thankful to God for you.  You and daddy have taught us that God is the only thing that matters.  Thank you so much for always sticking up for us kids, when the other moms are putting there kids down, and saying that there kids are a burden. You always say we are a blessing. You are the most selfless, kind, encouraging ,sweet, and  most loving mom in the world ,and I could not imagine  life without you. Thank you for helping me with anything I need help with. When I say I am having a bad day you always let me cuddle with you and talk.  You should be voted number 1 mom in the world. I love you.......:-)

We were not looking for praise from men, not from you or anyone else. As apostles of Christ we could have been a burden to you, but we were gentle among you, like a mother caring for her little children. We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God, but our lives as well, because you had become so dear to us. - Thessalonians 2:6-8

Happy Mothers Day!!!:-)
Your Daughter,
Kelsey

Daddy's Surgery:(

Yesterday, my dad had shoulder surgery. He has been working on Garage doors for 20 years, and his shoulder has problems because of that. He went to the doctor because he has been having really bad pain in his shoulder. They said, he had a bone rubbing against another one, and and a few bone spurs turns out that he also had a tear in his rotater cuff.  So, we went really early in the morning yesterday, and he had surgery. Everything went as expected, and he is home now. Today he has had a lot of pain. Daddy is never sick, and has never had any surgery, he has not even been to the doctor in about 15 years:-) Which is such a blessing from God! When he can not do anything it makes you think about all the stuff he does and what a great dad he is. We love you so much daddy!!! Can not wait till you feel better:-)
Daddy right before surgery. He was complaining about the purple gown they had him wear.:-)

Me and daddy, the first walk after surgery... Hope yall like his purple hospital socks. :-)

Serving God By Serving Others

Matthew 20:28

Even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

I think this is one of the most important things...God wants us to serve others. There are so many Bible verses that talk about serving others. If only we could love and serve others like we do ourselves we would be so much happier.

Peter 4:10-11 As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

John 13:12-14When he had washed their feet and put on his outer garments and resumed his place, he said to them, “Do you understand what I have done to you? You call me Teacher and Lord, and you are right, for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet.

If that is not plain enough for you I don't now what is:-) Even God himself washed someones feet! What a great example.

Matthew 23:11  The greatest among you shall be your servant.

Acts 20:35

In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”

And whoever would be first among you must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Philippians 2:1-11

So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, ...
